Steam asks for 25 GB of free space at minimum and recommends 30 GB. The extra room covers patches: Trapstar Games shipped its first update four days after launch and says more are coming. Steam does not list an SSD requirement, but an SSD loads Unreal Engine 5 maps faster than a hard drive.

Steam Deck, laptops and handhelds

Operating system and anti-cheat

The Hood Warfare 2 system requirements start at Windows 10 64-bit, version 1909 or newer, and Steam recommends Windows 11. There is no Mac or Linux version. Since patch 1.0.10 the game runs Easy Anti-Cheat with a kernel-level driver, which installs with the game and has to stay enabled to play online.
